Beyond the old frontiers lies the land of wilderness with its unaltered character and overwhelming natural beauty beckoning the more intense and adventurous of travelers. This awesome wildness and magic belongs to that great land of towering mountains and Buddhist simplicity – Ladakh. The largest of the 10 provinces of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh is bordered by the Karakoram chain of mountains in the north and the Himalayas in the south. With the great Indus flowing right through Ladakh, the province is divided into Leh, the capital, Nubra, Zanskar, lower Ladakh and Rupshu. The many distinctive features of Ladakh are its uplands, craggy, barren cliffs and plateaus. Governed by a climate that provides about 50mm of each Year, Ladakh is cold and dry. One, therefore, will be faced with a long and bitter winter of frozen landscape but yet very beautiful, and a short, hot summer when the precious glaciers melt.

ARRIVAL AT LEH

On the arrival at Leh airport, our representative will be there to greet you and take you to the pre-booked hotel.
Today is for acclimatization because of high altitude sickness; note that it is necessary to get acclimatized at a high altitude.
Post lunch you will proceed for a short leisurely walk around the main bazaar exploring several cafes and handicraft shops. In the evening return back to the hotel.

LOCAL SIGHTSEEING (90 Kms. 3-4 Hours)

Today after breakfast procedd for local sightseeing of Leh.
Today you will visit Gurudwara Pathar sahib is a beautiful Gurudwara constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak it was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to Ladakh.
Later you will reach at Magnetic hill is also known as “Gravity Hill”. Further that Sangam confluence of Zanskar and Indus River.You can enjoy river rafting here (at you own cost) By the evening back to hotel, Overnight stay at Leh hotel.

LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY (125 Kms. 4-5 Hours One Way)

Early morning proceed to Nubra Valley via the World Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla pass. Arrive Nubra and proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can enjoy the camel ride (On Own). Later visit Hunder and Diskit monasteries.
KHARDUNGLA PASS: The road journey to Nubra valley leads through Khardung La pass (The highest Motorable road in the world) 18,390 ft. around 39 Kms. Away from Leh. There are two checkpoints on the both sides of the pass. Khardong is the first village of Nubra valley at higher altitude than Deskit and other villages.
DESKIT VILLAGE: Deskit is the main village of headquarter of Nubra valley, which has a small market consisting of a row of shops and about 500 years old Gompa on the hilltop. Spectacular view of the valley can be seen form the monastery.
DESKIT GOMPA: Deskit Gompa was founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo of Stod in about 1420 AD during the reign of King Dragspa. About 100 monks are residing in the Gompa, which is a branch of Thikse Monastery. The monastic festival called Gustor takes place on 20th and 21st days of the 12th month of Tibetan calendar.
HUNDAR VILLAGE: Hundar is a beautiful village to stay with lot of trees and you will really enjoy your stay at Hundar. It has a small monastery and ruined fort above the village. The walk or Camel Safari (Double Hump bacterian camels) from Hundar to Deskit, through sand dunes for two hours is wonderful (on own). Overnight stay in Nubra.

NUBRA TO TURTUK AND PANAMAIC (120 Kms 4 Hours.)

After having breakfast at the camp, start your drive to Turtuk, which is opened for the tourist in 2010.
Turtuk was captured by India only after the 1971 war, the village Turtuk is one of the only Balti villages in India and lies right next to the LOC.
The village’s inhabitants still use traditional utensils which are crafted from stone. Explore the village of Turtuk the village offers views of beautiful valley, part of Shyok valley.
On clear days you can have glimpse of K2 mountain peak located across the border in Pakistan.
Though a Muslim village, there are few Gompas located on the plateau above Shyok River and there is a old royal house to see in village.
You will reach Turtuk by late afternoon, later visit Panamic Hot water Sulpher Spring.
Evening return back to Nubra. Overnight stay in Nubra.

NUBRA VALLEY TO PANGONG (145 Kms. 4 – 5 Hours One Way )

After having breakfast at the camp, start your journey towards Pangong via Shyok road.
Pangong Lake in Ladakh is the largest salted lake in the world which is 134km long 6km wide located at height of 14256 ft.
and after that you will cross Changla pass (17370 ft) which is 3rd highest Motorable road in the word and further reach Tangste village where passport and inner line permit are checked.
After one hour reach at Pangong Lake, this lake acts an important breeding ground for variety of birds such as bar headed goose, Brahmini ducks.
The lake also supports a number of species of wildlife including Kiang and Marmot.
You will also visit the famous shooting point at Spangmik. By the evening reach at Pangong, Overnight stay at Spangmik camp.

PANGONG TO LEH (145 Kms. 5-6 Hours)

In the morning watch the mesmerizing view of sunrise over the lake and the barren mountains which appear golden due to sun rays.
After that having breakfast at the campsite, leave for leh via Changla pass.
On the way back visit Hemis monastery it is one of the most famous and largest monasteries in Ladakh.
This beautiful monastery belongs to Drukpa order and was founded in the early 17th century.
Visit Thiksey monastery this monastery is considered to be the one of the most beautiful monasteries in Ladakh and belong to the Gelukspa order.
You can also visit 3 idiots school at Shey village is also known as Druk Padma Karpo School, the school shot popularity after it was featured in bollywood 3 idiots.
3 idiots school shows rich culture of Ladakh. By the evening you will reach at Leh, Overnight stay at Leh hotel.

LEH TO TSOMORIRI (240 Kms. 6-7 Hours)

After breakfast leave for Tsomoriri, enroute stop at Tsala Chushu.
After a short halt drive to Tsomoriri, A beautiful mountain bounded expanse of water, around 240 Kms. from Leh in Rupsho Valley.
The Lake is located at 14,000 ft. near a small village of Korzok.
Further proceed towards Tsokar Lake, Overnight stay in Tsomoriri.

TSOMORIRI TO LEH (240 Kms. One way)

Post breakfast we check out from the Camp and proceed towards Tsokar Lake, After visiting the Tsokar Lake we drive towards Leh en route Stoping at Tanglangla pass, the second highest motorable pass in the world at 5350 m. Overnight stay in Leh.

As if any passengers, has to leave the tour mid-way, due to any reasons like death of relative, or illness or any other reasons, there shall be no refund for the remaining portion of the tour.
